Symbols for Your Spiritual Protection

When we do intuitive work, we have to properly ground and protect ourselves from negative energies we may experience. To do this, we can practice many of the tools I list in The Intuitive’s Workbook. One of those tools is the use of symbols. Adding symbols to your practice can do many things. Symbols are forms of energy manifested by the design and intention of our thoughts. Many are ancient, bringing the power of the ages with them. When we add them to our practice, whether for protection, strength, luck, or other aspects of our spirituality, we gain the benefit of their energies. Here are several symbols I’ve used in my own practice, symbols you can use as well. You can find these in the section for “Protections” in The Intuitive’s Workbook.

Thor’s Hammer

[caption id="" align="alignleft" width="100"] Image from Wikipedia[/caption] Thor’s hammer is a Norse symbol of protection and strength. It is related to the Norse god of thunder and considered one of the most powerful weapons in existence. I have used it for years and feel it’s strength, ancient and protective, every time I call upon it.
One of my favorite renditions of Thor's Hammer sitting on my shelf.

The Cross

[caption id="" align="alignleft" width="100"] Image from Wikipedia[/caption] The Christian cross is a symbol of sacrifice and protection. It’s use began long before Christianity assimilated it into their spirituality. The cross contains a vast well of ancient energy. https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/thumb/2/2c/Christian_cross_trans.svg/220px-Christian_cross_trans.svg.png

The Ankh

[caption id="" align="alignleft" width="100"] Image from Wikipedia[/caption] The Ankh, also called the ‘key of life’, is an ancient Egyptian symbol for eternal life. It’s use is protective of life. In many ways, it’s like a cross bound with another symbol, a bind rune.

The Om

[caption id="" align="alignleft" width="100"] Image from Wikipedia[/caption] The Om is Buddhist symbol for harmony with the universe. It can help strengthen your meditations.

The Hamsa

[caption id="" align="alignleft" width="100"] Image from Wikipedia[/caption] The Hamsa is a protective symbol from Jewish and Muslim faiths. It has been used throughout time to protect from the evil eye, a malevolent glare with supernatural effects.

Eye of Horus

[caption id="" align="alignleft" width="100"] Image from Wikipedia[/caption] The Eye of Horus is the great protector of ancient Egypt. A symbol of protection, good health, and power. It was used in ancient times to protect ships and ward off evil.

Bind runes
