Don't Fear Negative Story Telling

If you watch the latest movie trailers, you’ll find numerous stories about extraterrestrials wanting to wage war with humans. You’ll find stories of the Fae playing horrific games, hunting humans, and interacting in ways that send shivers down our spines. These are just stories.

Our society tells stories based on horror and fear because they sell.

The problem is, these beings aren’t horrifying. They aren’t to be feared. Yet, for every story about peaceful entities, we have a treasure trove of stories feeding on the creation of fear. It skews the belief systems of our society.
  • Extraterrestrials would invade if they came.
  • Goblins would destroy your home.
  • Forest gods will steal you away, potentially eating you.
None of this is real in the grand scheme of our universe. There are malicious entities in the world. For every malicious entity, there are hundreds, if not thousands, of peaceful beings willing to communicate with us. In our own society, we don’t judge the society based on the few. That’s what our storytelling does to the worlds of extraterrestrials and Fae, especially the popular, money-making machines of Hollywood. Adolf Hitler killed far more than six million Jews. That popular number doesn’t include all the other deaths associated with his genocides. Ghengis Khan is thought to have killed as many as 40 million people. Genocides still occur across the globe.

We don’t judge our society based on the horrific actions of those few people.

We shouldn’t judge any other society based on the actions of a few. There are terrible experiences with abductions, but most are just experiences, contacts, and visitations with completely harmless outcomes. A few of the beings across the universe are malicious. Most are benevolent, trying to make sense of the world around them like us. If you take on the journey to communicate with others, remember that the negative stories, the stories based on fear, are the stories that last. Don’t judge those you meet based on the creative fictions of our world and the horrific experiences of the few. Don’t judge other beings based on their physical appearance.

Meet them with love, kindness, tolerance, and patience. Gain the knowledge they wish to share and grow in the wisdom that comes with it.
